Valentia Skincare is a clean indie beauty brand I’ve been loving! With the rise of the clean beauty movement, we’re lucky to have so many great brands with beautiful and effective products on the market, but it can be overwhelming to choose what to try first (or next)!
Here I’ll share my thoughts on why Valentia Skincare stands out to me and which skincare products I’m enjoying!
Who are they?
Valentia Skincare is a beautiful and affordable brand that only uses natural botanicals and ingredients from the earth. They have a small team of health and beauty experts, botanical researchers, and creatives building a clean artisan skincare line made of organic ingredients in their purest, boldest form. Each product is free of artificial preservatives, parabens, detergents, GMOs, silicones, sulfates, artificial colors, fragrance, is cruelty-free, and vegan friendly! I love what they stand for!
What also sets this brand apart from others in a crowded market is their commitment to supporting various non-profits and organizations that work to bring equality and opportunities to women and girls everywhere.
What’s on my beauty shelf?
Cleansing Oil with Rosehip + Laurelwood // I’m a fan of the double-cleanse, which is a two-step process that first utilizes an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based cleanser. Oil-based cleansers help remove makeup, dirt, and other impurities and they can feel really nourishing, especially if you have dry skin.
I usually need three pumps to feel like I have enough and I spend a minute massaging it into my skin. The combination of jojoba, olive, rosehip, laurelwood, carrot seed, and other oils leaves my skin feeling really smooth, hydrated, and youthful.
Vitamin C Serum with Kakadu Plum & Ferulic Acid // Every girl needs a daily serum. Vitamin C is an acidic active ingredient that works to prevent brown spots, reverse damage from ultraviolet rays, and stimulate the growth of new collagen. Ferulic acid is another powerful antioxidant and anti-aging ingredient that works to decrease fine lines and wrinkles and brown spots. #radiantskin
I use one pump and press onto my skin after my hyaluronic acid. It’s smooth, feels light, nourishing, and hydrating — a bottle of goodness! It smells citrusy, but not in an over-powering way (its quite nice).
Eye Cream with Bakuchiol + Cucumber // First of all, what is “bakuchiol”? I never heard of it either. It’s a powerful plant extract and natural alternative to retinol (love!), which smoothes fine lines and diminishes dark circles. Bakuchiol is also a great option for people with sensitive skin and has been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This eye cream also contains hyaluronic acid to help hydrate and give the appearance of bright, plump skin.
The eye cream feels like a mini body butter for my eyes– it feels smooth, rich, and hydrating My only complaint is that it takes a little bit longer than I’d like to absorb onto my skin. Nonetheless, its a beautiful eye cream and I recommend!
Rose Water // This refreshing mist is a perfect addition after your cleanser. I love that it sprays evenly and gently on your skin, making it a convenient and calming way to refresh your skin on-the-go! Loaded with antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and vitamins A, C, D, and B6 to brighten your complexion, this lightweight mist leaves my skin looking hydrated and refreshed. I use it after my cleanser and before my serums and moisturizer.
