My Journey with Acne
While struggling with chronic acne for 10+ years, I went through several rounds of accutane, multiple laser treatments, and tried ALL sorts of skincare products. Acne, scarring, and hyper-pigmentation wasn’t normalized like it is now. I spent so much of my energy trying to hide, trying to chase perfection. Although it’s been a long journey, I’ve learned to be gentle with my skin, to not overdo it, and to be consistent.
I’m now in my 30s and I still get the occasional breakout. I believe nutrition and stress management are important, as well as using the right products for your skin type. When CLEARSTEM Skincare reached out to me about their line that corrects acne and scarring, I agreed to try out their products for 30 days and share my honest thoughts in a post. Here’s what happened:
My skin before CLEARSTEM:
These days I’m noticing more fine lines, wrinkles, dark under-eye circles, and sun spots. This winter has also been ridiculously dry, so my skin (and hair) feel like they’ve aged another 5 years. I also got carried away trying too many different products during the holidays (old bad habit) so my skin is ready for a reset!
My skin 30+ days after CLEARSTEM:
For 30 days I consistently used the below products day and night:

- CELLRENEW Serum (stem cells, hyaluronic acid) – MY TOP PICK
- HYDRAGLOW Moisturizer (bakuchiol, stem cells, squalane)
- BRIGHTEYES Eye Gel (botanicals, stem cells, aloe)
The only additional products I used to supplement this routine was a toner to prep the skin, facial oil to lock in my moisturizer, and SPF for sun protection.
First impression: I was immediately impressed with the ingredient list and the smooth textures. Everything felt gentle, absorbed well, was hydrating, and pampering. The moisturizer was silky and light, the serum and eye gel were dewy, and the cleanser was gentle but luxurious. My skin immediately felt smooth and soft after. My skin was still feeling a bit dry so I ended up supplementing my routine with a facial oil to help lock in moisture.
Overall Impression: With consistent use, I noticed that I wasn’t getting my usual hormonal breakout. My complexion looked brighter, remained clear, and looked healthy. My skin needed a reset and I noticed the benefit of being consistent with a simple routine with effective ingredients. I’m VERY happy with my CLEARSTEM products and would recommend them to friends!
